Refuge For Healing
companionship and somatic work for your grief journey
Online Grief Communities
Each of these groups is designed to create a sense of community. Many cultures understand the importance of grieving together. Our grief wants to be witnessed. Our bodies want to be allowed to process in a safe setting in the presence (even virtual) of other bodies.
Mothers Who Have Lost a Child
Mother-grief is unique. MRIs show that the brain is affected differently in mothers who lose a child than in other types of grief. Even the composition of a mothers tears are different than those shed in other grievers. Your pain is something nobody else can understand.
October 1, 2026 - January 14 I will be holding space for you and your grief. You will meet together with other grieving moms over the course of those twelve weeks (allowing for holidays). It will be the same people through the entire twelve weeks so that you can develop a sense of safety and trust and build community. We will meet Thursdays at 5:00 PM Mountain Time for 60-90 minutes.
You will be given the opportunity to share your story, if you'd like. You will be able to talk about and express your emotions. You will be able to share what has been beneficial to you in your grief journey so far.
I will guide you in somatic practices to help you feel your emotions in your body and process them. I will help you understand the effects of grief on your body. I will maintain a safe environment for the witnessing of each other's grief. I will guide you in grief rituals that help your subconscious mind and emotions process loss.
Whether you've experienced the death of a child recently, or many years ago, and regardless of the age of your child, you are welcome to attend this group.
The price is $240 which will be charged in three monthly payments of $80. Register at the Book Online page.

Loss of a Parent
Losing a parent is something that happens to most people. It can feel so commonplace that it's difficult to imagine how painful it really is -- until it happens to you.
And sometimes we have wounds from our parents or difficult relationships that cause the grief to feel more complicated in our bodies.
