Recommended Resources

As much as I would like to be all things to all people, I cannot.

Here are some external resources and books that I think you might find helpful.

Other Healing Companions

Manuela Mitevova

Manuela Mitevova teaches somatic yoga and even has an app for that called Kaya. She says: "My passion is to combine movement science and ground-breaking research into the science of emotions, and offer it in simple practical terms as healing movement to all my students."

You can learn more on her website and her Instagram.

Melissa Romano

Melissa offers coaching and workshops about nervous system regulation and somatic work. She says: "What's missing isn't more information. It's knowing how your body actually works—in language that doesn't require a degree to understand."

You can learn more at her website or her Instagram.

Books

The Cure for Sorrow: A Book of Blessings for Times of Grief by Jan Richardson.

This is a lovely book of poems written after the death of the author's husband.

Nothing to Fear: Demystifying Death to Live More Fully by Julie McFadden, RN

This book is so helpful for anyone who has a terminal illness or for family members of someone who is approaching the end of life. It's easy to read and written with gentle honesty about what to expect.

Get my monthly newsletter for somatic tips, journal prompts, upcoming events, and more! It's more like a newsnote. Short, concise, but packed with good things. Just a little bright spot in the midst of inbox overwhelm. I will not sell your information to anyone. I do not automatically sign anyone up. The only way to receive it is to sign up here.
